TVET Initiative Portal Closed: Your Next Steps to Secure Industry-Relevant Skills Training

The Federal Ministry of Education’s TVET Initiative application portal closed on June 30, 2025.

1. Application Review: The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Federal Ministry of Education will review applications to select qualified candidates. 

This process may involve verifying eligibility and matching applicants to available training programs.

2. Candidate Notification: Successful applicants will be contacted via the contact details provided during registration. Notifications may be sent through email, SMS, or the TVET portal (https://tvet.education.gov.ng/).

3. Training Assignment: Selected candidates will be assigned to Vocational Enterprise Institutes (VEIs) or Skills Training Centres based on their chosen skill areas and location preferences.

4. Onboarding and Training: Once assigned, participants will receive details about training schedules, locations, and any stipends (e.g., ₦45,000 monthly, as mentioned in some sources). Training will focus on industry-relevant skills across 25 priority areas.

5. Follow-Up: Stay updated via the official TVET portal or the Federal Ministry of Education’s website (https://education.gov.ng/) for announcements about shortlists or program start dates.
