About the Role

As Programme Officer, you'll report directly to the National Coordinator and play a pivotal part in overseeing the GC7 grant. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying funding opportunities from the Global Fund that align with NASCP’s mission, crafting compelling grant proposals complete with budgets and narratives, and ensuring all submissions meet strict deadlines and guidelines. You'll also monitor compliance, prepare detailed reports, and foster collaboration across various NASCP units to streamline grant processes.

Key duties encompass:

• Developing annual work and budget plans based on approved strategies.
• Establishing robust financial and administrative procedures in partnership with the Head of Finance and Accounts.
• Conducting routine monitoring, tracking performance indicators, and supporting grant audits.
• Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordinating meetings, and managing travel arrangements.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly progress reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assisting in financial accountability and reporting to funders and stakeholders.

This position demands proactive problem-solving, with a focus on adhering to grant agreements, NASCP policies, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To thrive in this role, candidates should have:

• At least 10 years of post-graduation experience with progressive responsibilities, including at least 8 years managing professional staff.
• Proven expertise in managing health projects, especially those related to HIV/AIDS, and experience with Global Fund or similar donor-funded initiatives.
• Strong skills in programme planning, design, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and data management systems; knowledge of R is a plus.
• The ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and perform under pressure in diverse settings.
• Sound understanding of Nigerian government structures and policies relevant to Global Fund management.
• Experience leading a Global Fund project is highly advantageous.
